HAPPY BIRTHDAY ?UEST LOVE!

I wanna give a birthday shout out to the nastiest fro on the drums, Mr. Quest Love. back in 2009, The roots were playing all summer at the highline ballroom and i copped a ticket not knowing what to expect. I knew that The Roots were a love hip-hop band but i've never actually experienced something so amazing. i went to the show not too long after Michael Jackson had passed away, and i know how much Quest Love was a fan of the Jackson's and MJ's music. i was hoping that somewhere in the night they were pay homage to the King. so i stepped into the venue and got a corona and planted myself in the front row. not even 5 minutes after i got there, Quest comes out and the band starts playing Human Nature. i almost lost it! hearing that song live (although MJ wasnt there to seranade me) was one of my favorite music memories. They played the song for about 10 minutes, just continuous looping of the track with no words. i was speechless. So shouts to you Quest, for making that night so memorable. Happy Born Day!
